Accused USS Cole Bombing Architect Ordered to War Court

Has skipped this week's hearings on his death-penalty tribunal and the judge wants to know if it's voluntary

A military judge ordered the alleged architect of the USS Cole bombing be brought before the war court Wednesday to be questioned on whether he was voluntarily skipping this week's legal arguments that set up his death-penalty tribunal.

Army Col. James Pohl, the judge, ordered the 9 a.m. session in the maximum-security courthouse as Tropical Storm Sandy churned south of Jamaica and was poised to strike this outpost in southeast Cuba by Thursday morning as a Category 1 hurricane.
