Mauritania has handed over Libya's former intelligence chief Abdullah al-Senussi, the Libyan authorities have confirmed.

A flight carrying him from the West African country has arrived in Tripoli.

Libya wants to try Mr Senussi for crimes allegedly committed during his time as Muammar Gaddafi's right-hand man. He is also wanted by France and the International Criminal Court (ICC).
