GM US Sales Up 6 Percent in June

Demand for pickups, Cadillacs

GM says U.S. sales rose 6 percent in June on continuing strong demand for large pickups.

General Motors Co. said sales of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra increased 29 percent and 33 percent, respectively, over last June. GM's newly updated pickup trucks began arriving at dealerships last month and are selling quickly, averaging just 10 days on dealers' lots, the company said.
