Political Motive for FRC Shooting
Here's how you don't win sympathy for your cause ...
Officials have filed charges against Floyd Lee Corkins II for allegedly shooting a security guard in the arm at the Family Research Council's building in Washington D.C.
Prosecutors with the Department of Justice charged Corkins, who is from Herndon, Va., with illegally transporting a firearm and ammunition across state lines and assaulting the guard with the intent to kill him while armed.
Corkins, 28, is expected to make an appearance in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Thursday.
In an affidavit filed with the court, a witness describes the suspect as walking into the FRC's building, where he told security guard Leo Johnson something to the effect of, "I don't like your politics."
