Famed Public Choice Economist Gordon Tullock Dead at 92

A non-voter who passed away just before Election Day.

I just learned that my great emeritus colleague Gordon Tullock died yesterday in Des Moines; he would have turned 93 in February.

I'm preparing to teach a marathon class this evening, so I've no time now to write more, but Gordon was one of a kind.  His was one of the most creative, original, pioneering, fruitful, and insightful minds of the last 100 years.  He deserved the Nobel Prize, but never got it.  I count myself privileged beyond measure to have known him and to have been his colleague.

Reason note: Tullock explains his opposition to voting below.
