Americans for Tax Reform President Grover Norquist said Wednesday that he anticipates the Republican field for the 2016 presidential race "is going to be the strongest field the Republicans have had since Reagan ran."

In 2012, "you had 10 Republicans on stage. Three of them were running for president, the other seven were running for radio talk show hosts or to sell books," Norquist said at the Washington Ideas Forum, hosted by The Atlantic. "This time around, look at who is on the table."
