Officials at Heights High School in Kansas suspended senior class president Wesley Teague for Twitter comments they said insulted the school's athletes. Some of the jocks had started using the hashtag #HeightsU for tweets about the school's sports programs. Teague, a member of the track team, tweeted "'Heights U' is equivalent to WSU's football team," a reference to Wichita State University, which dropped its football program in 1996.
