Egypt's Main Opposition to Boycott Elections

Leader doesn't want to participate in "fake democracy"

CAIRO, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Egypt's main opposition National Salvation Front is activating a plan to boycott upcoming parliamentary elections, the group's leader said Wednesday.

NSF head Mohamed ElBaradei wrote on his Twitter account that the group wouldn't participate in "a fake democracy," Ahram Online reported.
