  • Meanwhile, most Congress critters just want to hold off voting on war until after the midterm elections, okay?
  • Ferguson, Missouri, law enforcement had the chance to break out their riot gear again yesterday when several dozen demonstrators attempted to block a highway in protest of Michael Brown's shooting. Thirty-five were arrested by officers, who outnumbered demonstrators about three to one. 
  • The Honolulu City Council has banned sitting and lying down on sidewalks in popular areas in an effort to rid the areas of homeless people. 
  • The European Union has decided to level new economic sanctions on Russia over its adventures in the Ukraine.
  • Missouri lawmakers overrode three of Gov. Jay Nixon's vetoes yesterday, approving a mandatory 72-hour waiting period for women seeking abortions, exempting farmer's markets from sales tax, and allowing public school teachers to carry concealed weapons.
