An underground fire at a storage facility for nuclear waste in southern New Mexico has led to evacuations and hospitalizations.
At 11:00am Wednesday, the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant near Carlsbad, New Mexico was evacuated due to an underground fire. Multiple hospitalizations due to smoke inhalation have been reported.
