Driver of Derailed Spanish Train Was on Intercom Before Accident

Facing charges of negligent homicide

Martin Marugan, the ticket inspector on the train which crashed in Spain, killing 79 people, says he doesn't feel any guilt.

He was talking to the driver on the intercom minutes before it derailed – during the call an alarm sounded indicating a bend ahead.

Driver Francisco Garzon has admitted going too fast, and has been charged with negligent homicide.
