Vietnam Vet With Purple Heart Shot Adult Daughters Before Killing Himself on Memorial Day
One daughter dead, one critically injured
A Tulare County man who shot his two daughters, killing one, and then himself on Memorial Day served in the Vietnam War and earned a Purple Heart.
Anthony Alvarez, 63, shot himself after killing Jennifer Kimble, 37, and critically wounding Valerie Alvarez, 33, before 5 a.m. Monday, the Tulare County Sheriff's Department said in a statement.
