NY-Area Airports Reopen, Train Service Still Mostly Down

It'll be a while before things get back to normal after the storm

Travel in and out of the New York-New Jersey region and between the two states began to pickup this morning in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

Newark Liberty and John F. Kennedy International Airports officially reopened at 7 a.m. It began with the first airline passengers to arrive in the region since Sunday, when a JetBlue flight with 150 people on board touched down at JFK, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said.
