In November, California voters will consider whether the state can force sellers of genetically modified foods and other organisms (GMOs) to slap a "GMO" label on their products. Prop 37 supporters argue that the law is necessary to help consumers make informed choices. Prop 37 opponents argue that the law would be unconstitutional, would increase food prices, and would create a government-mandated scarlet letter. Baylen Linnekin of Keep Food Legal weighs the issues.
