Charity Begins at Home
Kenneth S. Kaufman, former treasurer of the Ames, Iowa, Police Benevolent Association, has been charged with stealing money from the charity. Kaufman was a detective with the Ames Police Department but retired shortly after the alleged theft was discovered.
