Those Who Can't Teach
Teachers' unions in Bridgewater and Raynham, Massachusetts, plan to file a labor action to keep local schools from using volunteers in their libraries. The school system cut library positions and funneled the money into teachers' salaries, so volunteers stepped up to keep the libraries running. But the unions say only certified librarians are qualified to check out and shelve books.
