About 30 students got on a school bus at Memorial School in Little Ferry, New Jersey, thinking it was taking them on to the high school they attend. But when the bus pulled away, they noticed it was taking a different route, and when it got on the New Jersey Turnpike, they knew something was wrong. It turns out the bus driver thought they were a group of students who were supposed to be going on a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure. They tried to explain the mistake, but the driver refused to believe them. They called school officials and told them what was happening, but when they tried to hand a cell phone to the driver to talk to an administrator, she refused to take it because school rules bar drives from talking on the phone while driving. They finally convinced her to turn around, and by that time, school officials called the police, who pulled the bus over and had an officer ride it to the high school.
