Rushing to a Fire
The family of Ann Bartlett has sued DeKalb County, Georgia. Bartlett, 74, died after being trapped in her home during a fire. She had called the fire department, but when firefighters arrived, they saw no obvious signs of a fire and didn't bother to check the home. A neighbor later saw the fire and called 911 again. This time, when firefighters arrived the home was engulfed in flames.
