After a British woman was raped by a hotel waiter in Dubai, she and her fiancé reported the crime. Police instead questioned the two about their sex lives then arrested the woman and her fiancé for having illegal sex, since they were not married. They also charged the waiter, who denied raping the woman but admitted consensual sex, with the same crime.
