Burning Down the House
Firefighters in Braintree, Massachusetts, wanted to practice their skills, so they drove to a vacant house, cut holes in the roof and the walls and busted out the windows. Only later did they find they had smashed up the wrong house. They were supposed to practice on a home slated for demolition. Instead, they hit a house a few blocks away that was going to be renovated by the owner.
