Is There No Charity?
The Russian government forced almost 100 charities and human rights groups to suspend activities briefly after they failed to meet new registration requirements the groups say were impossible to meet. The groups had to fill out a form more than 100 pages long. In addition, they also had to provide the government with copies of every article published either locally or in other nations that mentioned the group.
