Prosecutor's Peril
Former federal prosecutor Richard G. Convertino has been indicted for allegedly withholding photographs from defense attorneys and lying under oath. The charges stem from a case in Detroit in which two men were convicted in 2003 on terror-related charges and a third of document fraud. The government later asked a judge to set aside those convictions, saying there were problems with the case. Convertino denies the allegations.
