The Importance of a College Degree

|

Six teachers may have to pay back a total of $30,000 in pay raises to the Gwinnett County, Georgia, school board. They teachers got the raises after obtaining advanced degrees from a school in Liberia. St. Regis University allegedly granted the degrees for "life experience" and charged $995 for a master's and $1,500 for a doctorate. The Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved the degrees, but it now says it will no longer credit degrees from St. Regis.
