Daniel Lipsman is under investigation for child neglect. Why? His 15-year-old daughter Angela has earned enough college credits for an associate's degree. The family's trouble began when Angela went straight from eighth grade to the Borough of Manhattan Community College and Fashion Institute of Technology, where she has a 3.84 grade point average. After she earned enough credits, she expected to get her degree, just like everyone else. No go, the college said. She had to have a high school diploma or GED first. The Lipmans sued. They not only lost, but the father is now under investigation for not sending his daughter to high school.
