The Penguin Strikes Back

|

Exciting times in the Linux world. Linux distributor Red Hat has filed suit against The SCO Group, the outfit which had sued IBM for using Linux. SCO claims that Linux contains unauthorized elements of SCO's Unix. Further, SCO has fired off letters to companies using Linux warning of grave legal consequences if they continue to use Penguin-ware.

So how does SCO react to Red Hat deciding to take the whole shebang to court? SCO's chief executive Darl McBride tells Red Hat's CEO, "I am disappointed that you have chosen litigation rather than good faith discussions with SCO about the problems inherent in Linux."

Now that's balls.
