It's Better to Give
The Indiana Department of Revenue sent out 494 checks worth a total of $73,229.76 to four taxpayers who were due interest from 1999 state income tax returns they had amended. The problem is that each of the four was supposed to get just one check. Indiana is running an $850 million deficit.
