Lott Update

|

Much has happened in the John Lott affair since I last posted about it here. The most important development: Someone has come forward to say he took part in the survey Lott says he conducted in 1997—not as one of the questioners, but as one of the respondents. James Lindgren, one of the primary sleuths in the Lott case, has interviewed the person in question and believes that he is credible. "In the next week," Lindgren says, "I will write up the interview, add it to the report, and change the conclusion from an agnostic one to a more positive one."
