Tomorrow night, my Reason.tv documentary short, The Tragedy of Urban Renewal, will open for Battle for Brooklyn (which was recently shortlisted for the Oscars) at Maysles Cinema in Harlem. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with me, Jim Torain (who's featured in my film), Battle director Michael Galinsky, and Columbia University professor Mindy Fullilove, who's the author of Root Shock: How Tearing up City Neighborhoods Hurts America, and What We Can Do About it.

We'll be talking Robert Moses, Atlantic Yards, and eminent domain abuse in the 1950s vs. today.
