Reason is hiring a full-time podcast producer to oversee our current slate of programming and take a lead role in developing new shows and limited series. If you're a creative audio producer, with a strong track record of successful programs, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for someone with at least 4 years of experience working in podcasting or radio, especially high-produced programs and audio documentaries, and who comes with an in-depth understanding of politics and public policy, a familiarity with Reason and its mission, and an appreciation for the libertarian worldview.
The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating with hosts and fellow producers to generate scripts; working with audio engineers to make edits; tracking down soundbites and clips; overseeing recordings; coaching hosts; and structuring compelling stories. Applications should be familiar with leading podcast production platforms and the industry ecosystem as a whole.
We're looking for someone based out of our office in Washington, D.C., but we may be flexible on location, depending on a particular candidate's experience and qualifications.
