The Praying Dead

WFMJWFMJOfficials in Sycamore, Ohio, fined Jasen Dixon $500 for the nativity scene in his front yard and threatened him with more fines if he didn't take it down. They said it violated zoning rules against accessory structures. But Dixon says he believes it was because it depicts Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and the Wise Men as zombies. After a public outcry, and after Dixon removed the top piece of the display, officials said it could stay.

Well, let's look at the record. JC gets killed, then three days later, the dead body is reanimated. Sure seems like a zombie to me, but what the hell do I know, I'm a Jew, and we're the ones who hired the Italians to make the hit.

When Kathy Thomas and Kara Siemers brought their family out to look at the Christmas display on Voorhees Lane in Sycamore Township, it wasn’t a complete success.

Voorhees Lane? Sounds like the figures should have been wearing hockey masks.

Bickford said, despite the emails, the structure went against the township’s zoning code.
