World Peace

Miss CanadaMiss CanadaOfficials in China are refusing to issue Miss Canada the invitation she needs to participate in the Miss World contest in December. Anastasia Lin, who was born in China, says she believes this is because she has been outspoken on the country's human rights abuses. The organizer of the contest says Lin has agreed to not speak out on "her cause" if officials will allow her into the country. Lin says she has made no such promise.
