Power Returning to Parts of Manhattan

No word yet on when that weird smell in that one alley will be restored

MANHATTAN — Let there be light!

Power was restored to a portion of the East Village Friday afternoon after nearly four days in darkness following Hurricane Sandy.

Cheers erupted near Tompkins Square Park after the lights popped back on near St. Mark's Place and Cooper Square.
