Sharif Matar moved from Honolulu, Hawaii, to study Communications at Santa Clara University in Silicon Valley. His studies include economics and film theory at the University of Cambridge and Brown University. His work as a writer, director, and editor on numerous short films and productions have garnered attention and shown from major news outlets and numerous film festivals including the Cannes Film Festival.
Sharif produces long and short form documentaries covering issues including education, drug policy and foreign affairs. Recently he helped produce and create VFX for the feature length documentary about the drug war called America's Longest War.
