Talking Barr, Paul, and the Libertarian Movement on Berkeley's KPFA

I'll be chattering about the latest regarding the Barr campaign, the Paul movement, and libertarian impact on politics in this election year on Berkeley's Pacifica radio station KPFA, 94.1 on the FM dial, this morning at 8:05 am pacific time. You can listen live here. I'm told it will be about a 15 minute segment, but things can and do change abruptly and unexpectedly in radioland.

And my book on the libertarian movement, Radicals for Capitalism: A Freewheeling History of the Modern American Libertarian Movement, is now out in paperback and makes a perfect mid-September gift for all your mid-September gift-giving needs.

Maybe not. I don't take steroids, and even though I loath and oppose violence in just about all situations, I think it's an objective assessment that Lefiti needs to be punched in the nuts.

At least it's a cheap paperback and a good read. The ultimate price of McCain's or Obama's self-laudatory biographies will be measured in trillions ... and frankly, Stephen King does horror more convincingly at a much lower price per page.

C'mon, Doherty: You must realize that the smart shoppers are already buying their xmas gifts. And who but a smart and thoughtful shopper would get such a gift for a friend or loved one? When that royalty check comes in to make some Xmas of yours all the merrier, thank your savvy publisher for a mid-September release.

James---I was just being a little freeform absurd about hyping anything for sale right now; the paperback has actually, truth been told, been out for a couple months; I was just off clock writing another book and didn't have the opportunity to hype it on Hit and Run myself. My beautiful publisher PublicAffairs has never made a wrong move!
