Racing in the Streets

A New Taipei, Taiwan, resident was stunned to find he'd gotten a speeding ticket with a $24,000 fine. The ticket claimed he was driving 1,623 kilometers per hour, or 1,563 kph over the speed limit. The man, who was identified by media only as Wu, found out that the person who typed the ticket into the system keyed in the wrong numbers. He was, in fact, charged with driving 75 kph, or 15 kph over the speed limit.
