Toronto police officers Edward Ing and John Cruz were convicted of assault after beating up a disabled man for calling them “the rich man’s army.” The beating left that man, Richard Moore, with fractured ribs, a dislocated shoulder, a broken finger, and cuts and abrasions across his head and torso. A court sentenced the two officers to 12 months under house arrest.
