Former El Paso police officer Miguel Lucero has pleaded guilty to an improper relationship between an educator and student and was sentenced to eight years of deferred adjudication. Lucero, who worked at Riveside High School, began propositioning and harassing a student at the school when she was a freshman. When her boyfriend complained to the police chief, Lucero threatened to have the boy arrested.
