Joe Gordon, an American citizen born in Thailand, has pleaded guilty in a Bangkok court to defaming the royal family by posting online excerpts from a biography of a former king that is banned in that country. Gordon posted the excerpts years ago from his home in Colorado. He pleaded guilty after being held in prison for five months and being denied bail eight times. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
