The Los Angeles Unified School District has removed three elementary school teachers from the classroom after they gave students photographs of O.J. Simpson, Dennis Rodman, and RuPaul to carry in a Black History Month parade. Leon Jenkins, president of the Los Angeles chapter of the NAACP, said he believes the teachers were trying to mock Black History Month, but some parents of students at Wadsworth Avenue Elementary School, where the parade took place, say the issue has been overblown.
