A 102-pound artillery shell slammed into the trees behind Kathy and Rich Nelson's home in central Minnesota. They immediately called Camp Ripley, which is eight miles away, to tell officials at the Minnesota National Guard what had happened. They say the people at the camp at first insisted they could account for all their shells. Later, they sent someone by to collect the shell. But the Nelsons say no one has ever apologized to them.
