Morton High School principal Theresa Mayerik got the new school year off to a great start by giving 128 students � more than 10 percent of the student body � one-day suspensions on the very first day of classes. Students in the Hammond, Indiana, school were sent home for a variety of dress-code violations, including wearing baggy pants, low-cut shirts and tank tops.
