When a Minnesota State Trooper crashed her patrol car into another vehicle, she told investigators she had been pursuing a violator when the accident happened. It seemed plausible: Jennifer Lee Schneider was using her lights and siren and had reached speeds of up to 126 miles per hour. But an investigation found that she was actually transporting a fellow trooper to a hockey game. She has been charged with four misdemeanors in connection with the accident and her attempt to cover it up.
