That was Giuliani's objective from the beginning. Lots of public exposure, huge increases in speaking fees, more business for his "businesses" in security, a shot at becoming Attorney General, then drop out at the opportune time. And he did it all on other peoples' (i.e., gullible donors') money.

If Edwards was still in the race, he would have used this piece, and the linked IBD editorial, in his campaign mailings.

Please stop using firstadsolution.com for your banner ads Reason. I haven't seen these annoying talking iPod ads that I've heard of but I just got an ad speaking in Hungarian. I can't understand any of it but it did remind that the speakers are turned up with the wifey sleeping lol

Time to go grab a firefox ad blocker.

I can't tell if this is trying to be a sarcastic jab at Guiliani's late state strategy or sincere analysis. If its the former, its pretty brilliant.

I'd like to announce my formal withdrawal from the presidential race and my endorsement of the eventual winner.
