New at Reason
Brian Doherty takes a comic book tour of the future Iraq.
Comments to "New at Reason":
Read it. Not impressed with it...especially the author's apparent hero-worship of Dan "all the news that's fit to invent" Rather.

Why no mention of the fact that this was originally a webcomic, and has been online since May 2006? Wouldn't that make the art look "oh so 2006" years later?Bubba Zanetti | January 22, 2008, 9:55am | #
Chaos, until the surfer bestows upon Petraeus a fraction of the power cosmic...If you want to read something truly scary and authoritarian, I would suggest Naomi Klein's Harper's article, 'Baghdad year Zero'.

enjoyed it as fiction last year. as a webcomic it's really good i think, kept me on the edge of my seat. as serious commentary.. well, the point that most of the public/media narrative is bullshit is taken.the anti-statist | January 22, 2008, 3:29pm | #
Iraq is improving. I doubt that the US will ever leave. By 2011 I expect 95% Baghdad to be patrolled by Iraqis. Real Beer might be sold on the big bases by 2015. Who knows, maybe Baghdad will look like dubai did back in 1997 by 2020. I could be wrong though.Professor Chaos | January 22, 2008, 9:04pm | #
