Doherty and Will Wilkinson's Heads, Blogging

A few weeks back, Will Wilkinson and I sat in our offices (his at Cato in D.C., mine in L.A.) and talked into cameras about my new book Radicals for Capitalism: A Freewheeling History of the Modern American Libertarian Movement.

The results, a full hour of fabulous conversation (with titled chapter divisions), are up at Bloggingheads.tv. I may look alternately tired and ready to bolt, but I was enjoying it thoroughly. The camera guy told me to take off my usual glasses because of "glare."

There's a spray you can get for that, Brian, if you want to wear them for your next TV spot.

It looked to me that you had a toothache.

Brian,
I don't have time to watch the vid right now, but I have to tell you that I just read the book. Fantastic. I cannot give it enough praise. It was informative and fun, a both challenging and easy read. Great, great, great.

Only criticism: the footnotes are way too engaging. It took me forever to get through it because I kept flipping back. (What is that - praising with faint damnation?)

Everybody who is reading this who has not read this book, read it.

Yes, the book is great. Even my dad, not a libertarian, enjoyed it immensely.

All gags aside, this is really comprehensive and informative; worth forwarding to folks needing clarification on a few things.
