This used to be a great country. ||| CBSsports.comCBSsports.comFrank Miller, of Park Ridge, Illinois, is a huge fan of the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team, which recently skated its way into the Stanley Cup finals. As NBC Chicago reported,

Just like the players don't shave during the playoffs, Miller decided not to cut the lawn in front of his Park Ridge home.

To make sure people understood the gesture, he put up a sign saying:

PLAYOFF LAWN

Won't cut until Hawks win the Cup!

You know what happens next!

"I was watching the playoffs one night with my son and hear a lawn mower going off, and I come outside, 'What are you doing?' The guy was cutting my lawn with a giant industrial-sized mower, and he said that the city had come and paid him to cut my lawn," Miller said.
