Darkhattan at Night: An Almost Lovely Pain in the Ass
Last night I had the occasion to be driven through the powerless lower half of Manhattan during the 10 o'clock hour, and, well, words kind of fail me to begin to describe the spooky, beautiful, bleak and sad sight. Holy shit, it is weird seeing The Bowery totally dark. I spent seven years there, including 9-11, and never saw anything like this.
