Tomorrow morning the Census Bureau will release its annual report for 2010 on “Income, Poverty, and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States,” and, to judge by the way the bureau is handling the announcement, it’s going to be less than smashingly good news. “There will be no physical event,” the bureau’s advisory to reporters announces. Just a conference call, in a departure from the Bush administration’s practice of holding a press conference. Ira Stoll says prepare for the worst.
