Senior Editor Jacob Sullum says the same description applies to Four Loko, the caffeinated malt beverage that the FDA banned last week. Like other officially condemned intoxicants, Sullum argues, Four Loko was linked to a disfavored group—reckless, hedonistic "young people"—and everything about it was viewed in that light.
