The McDonald v. Chicago case yearned to
launch revolutions in both Second Amendment and 14th Amendment law.
But as Senior Editor Brian Doherty writes, despite the handy
victory imposing Second Amendment rights on the states, it's
possible that the actual effects on future gun law and 14th
Amendment jurisprudence will be less revolution than evolution.
Doherty surveys the likely impact of the decision on both specific
gun laws and on the Privileges or Immunities Clause of the 14th
Amendment.
